MEET TESS
A Dedicated Leader for Dufferin-Caledon
COMMITTED TO SERVICE
Tess Prendergast is a committed and experienced leader who is ready to advocate for Dufferin-Caledon at Queen’s Park. As a town Councillor, teacher, and active volunteer, Tess has a proven track record of addressing the issues that matter most to residents—healthcare, education, and affordable housing.

Tess understands that access to quality healthcare is critical for every family. She has been a strong voice for improving hospital infrastructure, increasing the number of healthcare providers, and expanding mental health services, particularly in rural areas where access can be limited.

Housing affordability is another priority for Tess. She has seen firsthand how rising housing costs are making it harder for local families to find stable, affordable homes. As a Councillor, she’s worked to ensure smart, sustainable growth and will push for policies that prioritize affordable housing options, helping young families and seniors stay in the community they love.

With a background in education as a French teacher and librarian, Tess also understands the vital role schools play in shaping the future of our community. She is committed to securing more funding for schools and supporting programs that equip students with the skills they need to succeed in an ever-changing economy.
